MOBIVOX Secures $11 Million in Funding from Top-Tier Global Investors

The company that connects family and friends around the world for free from any phone, Mobivox, has received $11 million in Series A venture capital funding from top-tier investment funds in the United States, China, Southeast Asia, and Canada. Mobivox’s plans for expanding its global presence will certainly be given a boost by this funding.
 
IDG Ventures is a global network of independently managed venture capital funds with $2+ billion under management. The company has five independent partnerships managing funds in North America, China, Vietnam, and India. With its investment in Mobivox, multiple funds from within the IDG Ventures network have co-invested in a company. As part of the arrangement, David Aronoff, general partner of IDG Ventures Boston, will join Mobivox’s Board of Directors as part of the funding.
 
MOBIVOX (News - Alert) provides free calls from anywhere in the world to over 40 countries. The members can save up to 98% on all other international calls. To become a member, all you need to do is to register at www.mobivox.com and dial a local access number to connect with friends and family.
