NEC Unified Solutions Inc., a provider of enterprise business communications, has announced a partnership with IPcelerate (News - Alert) Inc., a provider of advanced VoIP products and technologies.

The companies plan to combine IPcelerate’s Network IP Applications (NIPA) Framework with NEC’s (News - Alert) line of IP terminals in order to deliver new collaboration, productivity and advanced communication capabilities that is expected to enhance the business telephony experience of customers across all market segments.

“NEC is pleased to work with IPcelerate to create new solutions that provide a more visual and interactive off-the-shelf experience for voice in the workplace,” said Jay Krauser, General Manager, Product Management for NEC Unified Solutions, in a Tuesday statement.

“Using IPcelerate’s comprehensive applications framework, our developers will create advanced applications that are standard offerings on our IP terminals, delivering new levels of business impact for our customers.”

Developers who are already certified on the IPcelerate framework will have the opportunity to design new applications for NEC voice platforms without requiring rigorous re-training.

“The possibilities of unified communications and business telephony are vast; however, the end user experience with telephony in the workplace has yet to realize any significant change,” said Kevin Brown, CEO, IPcelerate, in Tuesday’s statement.

“Our partnership with NEC will add data-oriented, visual capabilities to the desktop and launch a new era of end user experience for businesses.”

NEC’s UNIVERGE® 360 approach to unifying business communications includes developing partnerships that enable companies to quickly bring applications to market. At the core of this focus is the concept of placing people at the center of communication.

By creating applications for vertical industries and common business roles, individuals can now have the ability to take control of communications.

NEC Unified Solutions offers customer support through best-in-class development teams and channels across all NEC entities and geographical borders, in order to be the single-source provider of voice, data and video solutions for the connected enterprise.

NEC’s end-users also profit from the distinct advantage of its industry partnerships with established leaders like Cisco (News - Alert) Systems, Polycom, Genesys, Zeacom, Airespace, Dukane, Xtend, Top Layer and F-Secure, among others.

NEC and IPcelerate have done well to recognize not only what the enterprise needs in order to maximize on its communication capabilities, but to also make implementations painless to ensure rapid adoption.

As the demand for communication collaboration and increased customer experiences continues to grow, the opportunities for NEC and IPcelerate will also multiply. As long as these two companies continue to focus on innovative solutions that meet the specific needs of their clients, they should enjoy significant growth.
