Minneapolis Public Libraries (MPL) has replaced their old PBX phone system with IP communications system from
Mitel to enhance members’ experiences and reduce overall costs.
Working with its partner
Marco, Mitel (
News -
Alert) has upgraded communications for MPL’s main headquarters and 13 other branches.
MPL reportedly lost 25 percent of their people a few years ago leaving less number of people to answer the phone calls. Mitel’s Automatic Call Distribution simplified things for MPL by allowing them to save expenses and route incoming calls to the correct branch and service quickly and efficiently.
The library members can now simply push a button when prompted to reach their desired destination leaving the staff to concentrate on other tasks.
In another announcement Mitel said that
Guthrie Theater has installed Mitel Customer Interaction Solutions and Mitel Messaging Solution.
“The flexibility of the system is really valuable – especially because we decided to use some of our space totally different than we had planned,” said Lou Ambrose, information systems director in a
press release.
“We can take our phones anywhere in the building and just plug them in,” said information systems director Lou Ambrose,” he said.
Guthrie Theater also selected Mitel’s Enterprise Manager solution for administrative purposes. The solution enables access to multiple sites and systems from a single interface reducing business costs and enhances staff productivity.
