Debitel Denmark has reportedly selected Centile’s IntraSwitch to deliver enterprise and residential VoIP over its network.

IntraSwitch is a SIP-based carrier-grade VoIP service platform featuring built-in capabilities for fixed-mobile convergence and compliance with IMS standards. It is capable of supporting hundreds of thousands of enterprise and residential customers in a highly available, distributed and scaleable architecture. The hosted solution comes with ready to market service functionalities such as value-added Class 5 features, CTI (Computer Telephony Integration), IVRs (Interactive Voice Response), ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), Conferencing, Presence Management, Instant Messaging, Video support and multi-protocol support (SIP, SCCP, MGCP).

Debitel Denmark will now use the platform to deliver converged services to its customers.

“We wanted to innovate the Danish market with unique value-added features and applications and Centile really met our expectations,” said Frank Sorensen, technical director for Debitel IP, in a press release. “Our network can now deliver a full range of Class-5 features as well as unique value-added applications such as CallPad, a desktop application which provides end users with total control of their phones’ communications, VoicePad, a softphone, allowing end users to place and receive calls from anywhere in the world and SwitchBoard, an attendant console dedicated to receptionists. We are positive that the Danish market will be very receptive to such innovative applications.”

Headquartered in Stuttgart, Debitel boasts a 40 percent market share of the mobile service provider market, and 12 percent of the overall mobile telephony market, in Germany. The company has more than 10.7 million customers in Europe, of which 8.9 million are in Germany. The company has subsidiaries in the Netherlands, France and Slovenia.
