It’s finally happening: distinct segments are taking shape in the VoIP market. Many different VoIP phones and other endpoint devices are now available for multimedia applications—so many, in fact, that the situation has become confusing for end-users and developers alike.
The session is scheduled for October 11, from 1:00-1:45 p.m.
Hong and her co-presenters will examines the development of both the enterprise and consumer IP telephony markets, in addition to taking a look at PSTN-replacement services from the perspective of IP end points.
Rounding out the presentation are five-year forecasts for IP and SIP phones, softphones, and dual-mode (WiFi ( News - Alert)/cellular) handsets. Particular attention will be paid to techniques for implementing secure boot processes, code signing, and secure provisioning.
Attendees interested in learning more about developing VoIP devices can visit 8x8’s ( News - Alert) booth at the show, #513. Even more information on the topic is available on 8x8’s TMCnet.com channel, Small Business VoIP.
If you’re attending IMS EXPO, also be sure not to miss the keynote by Bryan Martin, Chairman and CEO of 8x8, Inc. The keynote will be held October 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
